About Kathy Nesler:
Kathy Nesler is an accomplished quilter and award-winning artist with a deep passion for the craft that spans decades. Having learned to sew at a young age, Kathy took her first quilt class in school in 1975, and quilting has been a constant presence in her life ever since. In 2015, she fully committed to the art, offering quilting services to customers and honing her skills on a more professional level.
Kathy has earned numerous accolades for her quilting, including multiple prestigious awards at the Georgia Celebrates Quilts (GCQ) show, the largest quilt show in the state. In both 2022 and 2024, she won Best of Show in the stationary machine quilting category. Additionally, she was honored with two Viewers' Choice blue ribbons at the Heartland of Kentucky Quilt Show in 2024 and had a quilt displayed at the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Show in Paducah in 2023.
A versatile quilter, Kathy enjoys exploring a wide variety of techniques, constantly experimenting with new methods and ideas. Whether crafting quilts for charity organizations like Quilts of Valor and Hosparus or reviving old quilts and quilt pieces, Kathy finds great joy in the creative expression quilting provides.
Quilting is more than just a craft for Kathy—it’s a lifelong journey of creativity, learning, and giving back. She is excited to share her knowledge and passion with others, inspiring fellow quilters to continue exploring their own creative paths.
