Event Details

Join us this National Donate Life Month for Understanding Organ Donation, Ethics, Your Donor Card, and the Law. Learn from Registered Nurse and author Linda Sims about the process of organ donation. Though donation is a wonderful gift, many do not understand the iron-clad law that governs your Donor Card. Sims will provide information and general education on what you need to know for family rights and decision-making roles as well as common misconceptions at the death of a loved one. Meet with us on Thursday, April 16, at 4:30 pm in NCPL Main Branch Community Room #2. Open to ages 18 and up.

Linda Sims, RN, has a master’s in nursing administration & remains a Fellow (retired status) in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Her experiences include Hospital Administration, Home Health, and Public Health Administration. Linda has served on many boards including Passport Health Plans Managed Care, Hosparus, Community Free Clinics and Hardin County Healthcare Providers. She is also the author of the recently published book Princess Warrior: My Daughter’s Journey: Embracing Life, Overcoming Challenge & Chasing the American Dream.
