This February, NCPL welcomes author Charles R. Lemons for a discussion of the Kentucky slave register, a relational database designed to aid in researching black ancestry in Kentucky. Join us on Wednesday, February 11, at 5:30 pm, in NCPL Main Branch Community Room #1 when Mr. Lemons will explain the history of the database, its contents and construction, as well as how to use it effectively in black genealogy research. Mr. Lemons holds a bachelor of arts in history, is a retired Curator of the Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armor, and is an author of numerous books on 20th century military artifacts. Open to ages 18 and up.
