Nelson County Public Library has joined more than 16,000 libraries across the country to participate in the summer reading program, A Universe of Stories. We have collaborated with STAR Net, NASA @ My Library and NASA to bring you a virtual launch pad filled with many STEM resources and activities to help inspire children of all ages to dream big, believe in themselves, and create their own story. This summer learning program will coincide with NASA’s 60 years of achievement and its celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landing.
Getting people interested in science can be a challenge, but this program will be a great opportunity for our community to celebrate science with fun, hands-on and multimedia activities.
We would like to invite you to a Kick Off event on Thurs., May 30th at 5 p.m. at the Main Branch.
